CHRISTMAS & DECEMBER BOOKINGS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
DEPOSITS
A deposit of £10 per person is required to confirm all Christmas Menu bookings and also for any regular bookings of 6 persons or more between December 1st and 24th. The deposit will be deducted from the final bill provided all of the following terms and conditions are adhered to. Until the deposit is paid the booking remains “provisional”.
BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Demand for restaurant places during the month of December is high, therefore, early confirmation of your booking is recommended. Bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of the deposit. Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 3 days, but, will be cancelled if no deposit is received in this time. Bookings made less than 7 days before the requested date will not be accepted until receipt of deposit. Deposits will be accepted in cash or debit/credit cards in person only. We do not accept card payments unless the cardholder is present. Please do not post cash. Cheques may be posted provided they are not post-dated and company cheques must be received a minimum of 10 days in advance of your booking. Please make all cheques payable to Poco Bara Limited. You will be given a deposit receipt for each and every separate deposit payment.
YOUR TABLE
All bookings starting before 8pm may be subject to time constraints; these will be discussed with you at the time of booking. We always do our best to accommodate bookings on one single table; however, the limitations of the restaurant (and the size of other bookings) may mean that this will not always be possible. You will be informed to the best of our knowledge of any different table layouts on booking.The time booked is the actual sit-down time so it is important that guests are punctual. Please inform us immediately if you are running late. Tables will be held for a maximum of 30 minutes, after which the management reserve the right to allocate them to waiting customers and your deposit will be forfeited. In the event that some or all guests arrive late we regret that it will not be possible to extend the time allocated when the booking was made. All bookings have a two-hour table allocation unless agreed otherwise by prior arrangement. On vacating the table guests are welcome to move to the bar area.
INCREASING THE NUMBERS OF GUESTS
If you wish to increase the number of guests on your booking please call us immediately and we will do our best to accommodate them. Please note that due to the high number of bookings during December this may not be possible due simply to the number of tables and chairs available to us. Should you numbers increase we will ask you to increase your deposit accordingly.
DECREASING THE NUMBER OF GUESTS
We regret that we cannot refund deposits if your numbers decrease. The full deposit will be redeemable against the bill in all cases; however, if you do not notify us by 5pm the day before your booking of any decrease in numbers then we will add a “non-attendance charge” of £10 per person (who has not attended) to the final bill. If you do not inform us of any decreased numbers before sitting for your booking then the full menu amount for each person missing will be charged to the bill.
CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations must be made by telephone and confirmed by email or in writing. We regret that we cannot refund deposits, however, provided that you inform us of the cancellation a minimum of 7 days before your booking we will allow the use of the deposit against a rescheduled booking in future. No change will be offered should the value of the rescheduled booking not meet or exceed the value of the deposit. Cancellations made within 7 days of the date of the booking will result in the forfeit of the full deposit. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the booking all monies paid will be refunded.
PAYMENT
Please remember to bring your deposit receipt with you on the day of your booking. Settlement, in full, of the bill must be made before or on the day of the event. Please note that Company cheques will not be accepted as payment on the day of your booking. Pro-forma invoices can be provided for advance payment. Regrettably, we are unable to accept credit accounts or individual billing accounts. Bills may be split in two for food and drink provided that this is requested when you arrive. No other splitting of bills will be permitted. Please note that Christmas menu bookings are exempt from all offers and/or discounts.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The Christmas menu includes vegetarian options. We will do our best to cater for any other special needs you may have, dietary or otherwise, but in this busy period we request that these are made clear to us in writing, preferably at time of booking, but at least 7 days before the reservation date. Any special requests made after this time may not be accommodated.
PRE ORDERS
We must receive our pre-order form along with the final confirmation of number of guests no later than 7 days before your booking; we regret that pre-orders cannot be amended once received. You may also pre-order wine & water for your table which is advisable if you are considering ordering several bottles of non-house wines.
MENU CHANGES
Our advertised menu and prices are published well in advance. Whilst we will endeavour to avoid alterations we reserve the right to make changes at any time before your reservation
